Bilgi Çağında Öğretmen Adaylarının Eğitiminde Öğretim Teknolojileri ve Materyal Geliştirme Dersinin Önemi
ÖZET: Bilgi çağında teknolojiyi kullanmak bir ayrıcalık değil, zorunluluk olmuştur. Toplumların gereksinim duyduğu birey nitelikleri değişmiştir. Öğretmenlerden de bilgi toplumu bireylerini yetiştirebilmeleri için derslerini teknolojiyi ile bütünleştirmeleri beklenmektedir. Eğitim Fakültelerinin yeniden yapılandırılması çerçevesinde 1998 yılında tüm öğretmen yetiştirme programlarına “Öğretim Teknolojileri ve Materyal Geliştirme” (ÖTMG) dersi zorunlu olarak konulmuştur. Çağdaş eğitimin bir gereksinimi olan teknoloji ile öğretme-öğrenme süreçlerini bütünleştirebilme becerisi, bu ders ile öğretmen adaylarına kazandırılmak istenmektedir.
THE IMPORTANCE OF INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGIES AND MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE AT PRE-SERVICE TEACHER EDUCATION IN INFORMATION AGE
ABSTRACT: The usage of technology is not a privilege but an obligation in the information age. The qualities looked for, in people by the societies has been changed. It is also expected from the teachers that they integrate technology in their courses in order to educate the individuals of information society. In the 1998, within the frame of reform of education departments, “Instructional Technology and Material Development” (IT&MD) course has been tought as compulsory in all teacher development programs. It is desired that the skill of integrating teaching and learning processes using the technology, which is a necessity of modern education, is ingrained in Pre-Service Teacher Education.
