WEB-DESTEKLİ ÖĞRETİM ORTAMINDA BİREYSEL TERCİHLER
ÖZET
Bu çalışmada, web-destekli öğretim ortamında gözlenen bireysel tercihler incelenmiş ve bu tercihlerin web-destekli öğretim tasarımı açısından etkileri ele alınmıştır. Bireysel tercihlerin değişik etkilerini incelemek ve açıklayıcı bir model ortaya koymak amacıyla çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış, bu amaçla web sitesinde yer alan seçenekler ve öğretim öncesi ve sonrası etkinlikler ile ilgili olarak görüşmeler yoluyla elde edilen öğrenci görüşleri değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın bulguları, web sitesinde sunulan içeriğin zenginleştirilmesi bağlamında farklı bilgi kaynakları ve materyal biçimlerinin sunulmasının ve öğretim üyesinin yönlendirmesinin önemli olduğunu göstermiştir. Web sitesinde yer alan öğretim öncesi ve sonrası etkinlikler, öğrenciler tarafından farklı şekillerde yararlı bulunmuştur. Çalışma sonuçları, her öğrencinin kendi tercihleri doğrultusunda kendi çizgisinde öğrendiğini göstermiştir.
INDIVIDUAL PREFERENCES IN A WEB-SUPPORTED INSTRUCTIONAL ENVIRONMENT
ABSTRACT
This study examines the role of individual preferences in a web-supported instructional environment, and explores the implications of these preferences in terms of instructional design of web-based instruction. This study employed qualitative measures in order to develop an explanatory model clarifying the various effects of individual preferences, and relied on students’ perceptions gathered through interviews regarding to the utilities and pre- and post-instructional activities provided within the web site. The findings of this study show the importance of providing different formats of materials and different sources of information in order to enrich the content within the web site, as well as the facilitation provided by the instructor. The pre- and post-instructional activities provided within the web site were found to be helpful for students in different ways. The findings of this study reveal that each learner has different characteristics and preferences in his/her own way to learn.
